I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
